  1. I agree that having no one to bounce ideas off is one of the worse things but having a good circle of friends and meeting for coffee/lunch helps! I work from home, no shop for meeting people, but I belong to WI and do outside markets and workshops so meet people there who always seem to buck me up! I've been self employed 2 years now and for me the summer is bad news, no-one wants wool in the summer! I shall try & get a part time job this year.

  3. Hi Suzanne, Thank you so much for sharing this post. I have found it very useful particularly at this time when I am feeling a bit despondent. I will definitely pop into your shop and say hi when I am passing. Elizabeth

  4. Hi Elizabeth thank you for that comment - it would be lovely to see you if you come by the shop. Suzanne

  5. Hi Suzanne - I'm just starting on my journey. I have wanted to be "self employed" for many years but never had the courage or vision as I was too wrapped up in the corporate world but now I'm ready to take the ups with the downs as I am sure there will be many. Thank you for your tips...now if I can just keep away from that lovely vintage biscuit barrel that keeps calling me at home I'll be happy! Keep up the good work and support you have offered us all
